Sheila De Bretteville is an artist, designer and educator whose work reflects her views as a feminist. Some of De Bretteville's accomplishments include founding the first design program for women at the California Institute of the Arts in 1971, founding the Women’s Graphic Center in 1973, receiving several awards from the AIGA, and receiving several honorary doctorates.
